Default Hard to decide

Got tired of 6v6 killbot these days...so i want to start a new PvE character (again)
My current characters are:
Warrior (rarely played-i picked the wrong name lol...completed Factions only)
Ranger (Half-way through NF...the most recently played PvE char. Completed Factions only)
Monk (Main char, completed Factions and NF & half of the missions of Prophecies)
Elementalist (My most favorite char, completed all 3 chapters)
Necromencer (My first char, but havnt touched her for a long time...stupid name ftl. Completed Prophecies and Factions)
Paragon (My mule...who wants Paragons in PvE today anyway? Completed NF only)
Assassin (My newest char...curently Lv7)

I have always been a fan of the mesmer class but the problem is even my 4-year-old cousin knows how mesmers suck in PvE, and who knows when the "making mesmers more wanted in PvE" update will be
So i created an assassin. I played as a sin in PvP quite often and found it fun to play with...but still it is not my favorite
I dont want to go through NF currently (I just completed it 3 times consecutively and a 4th time will kill me) thats why my ranger is stucked.
Any ideas of what i should do? Just go for the mesmer and delete the sin? Or should i keep it?
Or maybe try something new like dervish?

As I see it, you're most likely to enjoy the professions that you did the most with: a profession that is like a Monk, Ele, or Necro. With a Ritualist, you can do all three, depending on your build. Factions and NF are easy when you have a Minion Bombing build and a Resto build, and if you like, a Channeling build. 99% of the time, that's all you'll ever need to do in PVE. (DOA breaks all the rules, of course.)

So it is better for me to continue my sin than to create a mesmer?
Ritualists are nice...but i dont like the look of them

You may find that Assassins are still not liked too much in Cantha. They are liked everywhere else. For some reason, Assassins are not liked in their own contenent (then again, who would like to be seen hanging around a known killer?). Tyria and Elona seem to like Assassins so you'll find it better over in those two campaigns.

Paragons are still nice, and people will take paragons in Cantha and Tyria, sadly, there is nothing for the Paragon really in those two campaigns.

I think more people are willing to accept a mesmer than an Assassin, but it is a close call between the two. PUGs seem to be picky who they pickup (too set in their ways - Need Tanks, MM, SS, Nuker, 2 Healers). Assassins are not tanks, Mesmer/Eles can be a mini-fast nuker, or Me/N hex SS. No substitute for a non-necro primary MM.

Good luck in your choice. Please play with your necro, she sounds lonely and unloved.

Talking about PUGs...i play in Taiwan server, and i can hardly find more than 5 people in any outpost (around 10 at Kamadan maybe?) so i assume i will be henching most of the time
I also started the same thread at GWO and most of the feedbacks i receive are telling me to play a mesmer Since im henching mostly, would mesmer be a better choice in this case?

And yeah my necro she must be lonely now...almost become my 2nd mule XD

Never let that happen! Your necro should be sight seeing, living it up, cursing evil, sucking the life force out of enemies and dancing with the undead.

Mesmers are awesome, some will say leave the mesmering to the heros/henchies.

I have a A/W, Rit/N, N/Me, Me/Mo, R/Mo, W/R, Mo/E, P/Me, and D/Mo.

No surprise I love monks. I love manipulating battles, that is why I like mesmers.

If you go on the opinion of your 4-year old cousin, may I ask how much does your cousin know about Mesmers?

Do you like your Assassin? Honestly, I think its better to try all the skills out and many combinations before you say, this profession sucks. I was disappointed with Warriors, I deleted my Warrior twice before recreating one and keeping him. Both times my Warrior was about 11th level. So I was very short sighted. Heck, I deleted my E/Me when he was 15th level and my N/Mo when he was 17th level. I never thought they were good enough. As it turns out, I was expecting too much for their level and I wasn't experienced enough to utilize them to their full potential.

So, if you like the Assassin so far, keep with it. If you don't like the assassin, be paitent and see why you like the assassin in the first place. Everything takes time (as I found out).

If you just don't think its right for you, try the mesmer then.

Good luck and enjoy!
